About Pixanvas

Pixanvas is one large canvas, filled in by the people who visit it. You buy pixels, make them yours and put on them whatever you like: a logo, a drawing, a message or a link to your own site.

Exploring the canvas

Drag with your mouse or finger to move around the canvas, and scroll or pinch to zoom in and out. Click a spot to see who owns the pixels there and what they put on them. Free spots are the ones still showing the empty grid.

Pixels are sold a hundred at a time

A single pixel costs 5 cents. You buy them a hundred at a time, as a square of 10 by 10 pixels, so €5 per square. Need more room? Buy several squares next to each other and they become one larger area that you can cover with a single image.

How buying works

Select the pixels you want on the canvas. They go into your cart and are reserved for you for 30 minutes, so nobody can take your spot while you are checking out. Payment runs through payment provider Mollie; you will see which methods are available when you check out. Your invoice is ready in your account right away.

Making your pixels your own

After your purchase you receive an email with a login link. There is no password to remember: every time you sign in we send a fresh link with a code to your email address.

In My Pixels you draw them pixel by pixel, or upload an image that we fit onto the grid for you. The image library holds ready-made graphics if you would rather not draw. You can also give your spot a title, a short text and, if you like, a link to your own website. Changes appear on the canvas immediately, and every version is kept: if an edit turns out not to work, you can restore an earlier version in one click.

Your own spot on the web

Every spot with content gets its own page and a short, permanent link. That link keeps working even when you change the content later, which makes it easy to share or to print as a QR code.

Certificate of ownership

For your pixels you can download a certificate of ownership: a PDF with their coordinates, the date and a unique code. The document is digitally signed, and anyone can use that code to check that the certificate is genuine.

How long do your pixels stay yours?

There is no end date and there are no subscription fees: you pay once. We keep the canvas online for at least ten years, and for as long as Pixanvas exists your spot stays yours.
