Terms

These terms apply to every order and to the use of Pixanvas. Last updated on 27 July 2026.

1. Who we are

Pixanvas is a product of PixelOwners. Behind the service stands BWEB, trading as PixelOwners, Leliestraat 76, 7514 XN Enschede, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce number 08092851, VAT number NL001946832B83. You can reach us at hello@pixelowners.com. Below we call ourselves "we"; "you" means the buyer or visitor.

2. What you are buying

Pixels are sold a hundred at a time: as a square of 10 by 10 pixels on the canvas. When you buy such a square, you get the exclusive right to use and fill in those pixels. You are not buying a share in Pixanvas, a domain name or a tradable digital asset. The certificate of ownership is proof of registration in our register.

3. Price, ordering and payment

A hundred pixels cost €5 including VAT, which is 5 cents per pixel. The price shown on the site at the moment you order is the price that applies. When you select pixels we hold them for you for 30 minutes; if you do not complete checkout within that time they become available to others again. Payment runs through our payment provider Mollie. The agreement comes into effect as soon as your payment succeeds. You receive a confirmation by email and your invoice is ready in your account.

4. Delivery

Immediately after a successful payment the pixels are linked to you and you can start filling them in. You sign in with the email address you ordered with; we send a login link and a login code to that address.

5. Right of withdrawal

At checkout you expressly ask us to deliver your pixels immediately after payment, and you confirm that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once that delivery is complete. Because delivery takes place right after a successful payment, the statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal lapses at that moment. If you do not agree to this, you cannot complete the order.

If something went wrong — a double payment, the wrong pixels, a technical problem — contact us at hello@pixelowners.com and we will sort it out reasonably. If you buy as a business, the right of withdrawal does not apply in any case.

6. What you may put on your pixels

You are responsible for what you place and you warrant that you hold the rights to it. Not permitted is content that:

— breaks the law or incites criminal acts;
— is hateful, discriminatory, threatening or intimidating;
— is pornographic or sexually explicit;
— deceives, defrauds, or links to phishing or malware pages;
— infringes copyright, trade marks or other people's privacy.

Content that crosses these lines may be removed or hidden by us. Where we can, we contact you first; in serious or repeated cases we act immediately. If your pixels are cleared for this reason, you are not entitled to a refund. If you believe something was removed wrongly, tell us and we will look at it again.

7. Availability and duration

You pay once and your pixels have no end date. We keep the canvas online for at least ten years after your purchase. We do our best to keep the site continuously reachable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, faults and causes beyond our control may lead to interruptions. Should we ever discontinue the service, we will announce it at least six months in advance at the email address you ordered with, so you can preserve your pixels and your certificate.

8. Rights to your material

The rights to what you create or upload remain yours. You grant us the right to display that content on the canvas, on the accompanying pixel page and in images of the canvas as a whole, for as long as your pixels exist. We do nothing else with it.

9. Transferring pixels

You can have your pixels put in someone else's name. There is no button for this yet: send us an email from the address you ordered with, including the email address of the new owner.

10. Liability

We carry out our service as carefully as we can. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the pixels concerned. We are not liable for indirect damage, lost income or consequential loss. We are not responsible for content placed by other users or for the sites behind their links. These limitations do not apply in the event of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, nor to the extent the law does not allow them.

11. Age

You must be eighteen or older to order. If you are younger, you may only order with the consent of your parent or guardian.

12. Complaints and applicable law

If you have a complaint, email us; we will come back to you with a substantive response within five working days. These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Overijssel, unless the law designates another court. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you can also turn to the European Consumer Centre in your country.

13. Changes

We may amend these terms, for instance when the service changes or the law requires it. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened. Your order is governed by the version that applied at the moment you ordered.
